ECOGESTURES ON VACATION

Waste sorting makes it possible to recycle materials and thus avoid the extraction of new natural resources. The act of sorting is essential to avoid incinerating or burying waste which can be recovered. In all cases, avoiding producing waste remains the best solution. 

Recycling is only a lesser evil for the planet’s overexploited resources. The community of municipalities is implementing several actions to help you reduce your waste at source.

If waste cannot be avoided, how can we sort it properly? 

You can sort: 
    Packaging and paper, in bulk (instructions below)
    Glass packaging, in bulk
    Organic waste, in a composter (see “composting” section below) 
    Household waste, in bags 
    Other waste in recycling center or by returning it to the seller

We are delighted to welcome you to our house in Saint-Georges d'Oléron and we hope your stay will be as pleasant as possible.                 We'll give you as much information as possible to help you make the most of your stay.
